This 3* family run is located just outside the capital city of Crete, Heraklion. It has a large pool, two bars, a restaurant famed for its pizza and grill and all rooms have a private balcony, fridge, television and a/c (optional extra). We're open 365 days a year. We are on the National Old Road and a stone's throw from the National New Road so it is ideally located as a "base" for exploring the Sunshine Island. We can arrange car/bike hire, horse-riding excursions and day trips. All staff speak English. Rates are B&B but we now also offer half-board. Discounts for longer stays, especially in "winter".

Karteros where our hotel is located is a suburb of Heraklion. It's about 20 minutes by bus from the center of Heraklion (10 mins by taxi). Buses run hourly. We are about 200m from Karteros beach which (during summer months) has many beach bars. Locally we have supermarkets, a large pharmacy and some other bars/tavernas. Karteros is a quiet place so it's ideally suited for people who want a "getaway" holiday. Also due to it's proximity to the airport it makes an excellent stop-over.
